Western European Mobile Ad Market to hit €5 bn by 2015
Mobile advertising revenues across Western Europe will grow to €5.0 billion by 2015 according to the latest Forecast released by UK Research and Consulting firm FirstPartner.
The largest market will remain the UK which will see a compound annual growth rate of 63% to reach €1.14 billion or £ 1.0 billion by 2015. Germany and Italy will follow growing to €1.09 billion and €904 million respectively.
Growth in the market through to 2015 will be fuelled by:
- Google’s consolidated presence
- The increasing availability of rich media formats delivered to a rapidly growing population of smart phones
- Advertising through Facebook on mobile
- Growth in global economy
- Consumer use of smart phones
